Following the iron and unshaken determinism of nature our Sun changes Zodiac Sign transiting to Leo on Sunday, August 10th in the evening, at 23:20 GMT. It will remain in this zodiac sign until September 17th 00:40 GMT. Then it passes to Virgo.
We have explained numerous times that due to the precession of the equinoxes the signs are now 13, and the dates the Sun enters to them are changing little by little every year ..
Astrology no longer needs the paleolithic theories of the 2nd century B.C. To survive. What is needed is her development in accordance with the requirements of Astronomy and Astrophysics and the addition of scientific evidence to harmonize them .. Such changes are the addition of sunspots, the considaration of the path of the moon in a zodiac constellation on the ecliptic as the new Ascendant, and many more ...
Make no mistake about it; this is a Leo New Moon! One of the most royal of them all! In ancient Egypt, it is Sekhmet, the lioness that is the keeper of the flame! Sekhmet is the goddess of war and healing. Her name comes from the ancient Egyptian word Sekhem, which means power. She was widely known as “The One Who is Powerful” and “The One Before Whom Evil Trembles” Sekhmet is depicted as a fierce warrior goddess with the head of a lion wearing all red. She was prayed to everyday to keep the peace. Tamed lions were kept in her temples. End of battle festivals to stop the fighting were held in her name. Sekhmet is one of the oldest known Egyptian deities! Some researchers say she originated in Sudan where lions are more plentiful. Sekhmet is also the goddess of medicine and menstruation. Her name is used in prayers to protect borders and cure diseases. Physicians, healers, and skilled doctors, all revered Sekhmet. She is “The Lady of Terror” and “The Lady of Life”.
Taurus stands firmly and squarely upon the Earth - rooted & opposed by the new sign Ophiuchus. What changes? Everything. Especially our conception of what the concept of earthly-living means. Not Capricorn / Saturnine 'worldly-living' in the materialistic sense - money, power, acquisition - but rather, the innocent sense of living on and in harmony with Gaia, ‘Mother Earth’ - waking up in the Spring (after a long Winter) to smell the flowers, and feel the thick, green grass warm again under our feet. This isn't Summer, it is still Spring. The opposition of Taurus to Ophiuchus in no way represents a Winter-Summer axis.
We used to see in 12-sign astrology a tension between Taurus and Scorpio, so it was all mistakenly misperceived as an axis of life over death; that all of life is ultimately nourished and fed by death and violent change. It’s not true. Taurus is opposed by Ophiuchus, and a few degrees of Scorpio - but nothing much by comparison of degrees - almost a sideline, aside to the heavy direct diametrical-opposition to Ophiuchus and through which they are mututally understanding and in harmony with each other. They are both peaceful signs (albeit very stubborn signs) and lately I have witnessed my Ophiuchans friends being a LOT more stubborn than their Taurean-bull counter-parts! - the more so because the new 13-sign Aries takes on some of the old 12-sign Taurus characteristics and the new 13-sign Taurus adopts some of old Gemini's versatility to change.
(This article was written one year ago. In a few days we shall publish the 2nd part of it, hence we 'd like to recall its ideas.)
Our life is full of recurring phenomena that are called, in a more mathematical formulation, cyclic phenomena. This includes the 24-hour rotation of the Earth around itself, the 365.24-day orbit of the Earth around the Sun and the 29.5-day orbit of the Moon around the Earth, but in relation to the Sun!
We could argue that repetition is imposed on the physical level by nature itself! It has passed as a phenomenon in every form and kind of human activity. At work, education, science ..
Main manifestation and result of recurrence is time. Think that without cyclic repetition even the concept of time could not be assessed.
Many ancient peoples studied and recorded the movements of the Sun and planets as a form of this repetition. Greeks were found in a higher level of civilization when these concepts fleshed, therefo they studied more than other peoples, in philosophical and scientific - Astronomical level, the effects of perpetual repetition.
Horoscopic Astrology that flourished from the 1st century. BC, in Ancient Greece, was based precisely on the circular repetition of celestial phenomena. Attempted to explain how and why the Sun was passing from summer soltice every 365 days, and this was (and still is) the work of Astronomy. Astrology emerged when people considered that along with the cyclical phenomena it would be feasible to predict the human actions and life. Since astronomers could predict the Sun's and Moon's place during a specific period in the future, why couldn' t astrology predict human actions (see positions, acts upon them etc.) in the future?
Before answering this question let's look what the ancient Greek Kybaleion says about the universe:
1) The universe is a living organism that all parts are interrelated,
2) the same laws apply to all levels of human, stars, all creatures,
3) Everything in the world is subjected to a dynamic evolution, as all vibrate, flow and mutate.(read more)..

Psychological Astrology puts the task of interpreting the natal horoscope in such a way as to help people discover their inner potential that lies within them. These features are shown in the natal horoscope as positions and aspects of the planets.
The 13 Zodiac Astrology accepts and uses the valuable experience of psychological astrology on the role and interpretation of natal zodiac as a kaleidoscope of capabilities of each individual.
Step by step, the differences and similarities of the two above mentioned astrology theories are the following:
1a. Psychological Astrology despite all the commitment to the abstract - psychological sector of personality, accepts the outdated and fossil reference system of 12 signs in the way it was delivered to us by Claudius Ptolemy and other ancient Greek astrologers. Hence, it accepts the fundamental principle of the four elements, Earth - air - water - fire, as described from the ancient astrologers themselves.
1b . 13 Zodiac Astrology adopts the position of Psychological Astrology on the interpretation of the zodiac as a kaleidoscope of possibilities and not as a ball reading things to come. But puts on the correct basis Horoscope map by using only the actual situation with scientific certification, using the 13 Signs zodiac circle. Additionally 13 Zodiac Astrology rejects the antiquated four elements of astrology, earth - air - water - fire. On their position puts the four interactions that explain and describe our world according to modern physics : A. the gravitational interaction B. the electromagnetic interaction C. the weak and D. the strong nuclear interaction. The first explains the orbits of planets, the second, the electro - magnetic forces and waves, the third forces between atoms and the latter forces responsible for the retention of protons in the nucleus of the atom.
Let us make our position clear, the 13 Zodiac Signs describe some of our general characteristics, it is impossible to fit in a few lines of text our psychology, talents, selfishness and our dreams. Each single person is different and the only way to make a personalized astrological portrait is the Natal Horoscope containing the positions and aspects of the Sun, the main planets and the New Ascendant, the Moon. But again in your Natal Horoscope you may only find some of your features and many more potentialities that can be realized, or not. Man, as the only being who is aware of its existence and the ability to philosophize, is trying in vain to convience others in describing himself. The position of modern Astrology is therefore very difficult as a discipline for describing a greedy, concerning its self-awareness, being. This task is mentaly impossible. Only approximately and gnostically searching can we act, and this is what we will do starting with the description of the 13 Zodiac Signs. More information on how one can deal with the subject, can be found in my book "Astrology of the 13 Signs of the Zodiac".

Because the sky has changed since the epoch that Tropical Astrology was founded (about 2000 years ago). Now we need a new Astrological theory, that in co-operation with Astronomy will explain in a scientific way how this discipline will work in the future. It will explain as well the meanings of the the New 13 Zodiac Signs. This New theory is 13 Zodiac Astrology. It is founded in the book “Astrology of the 13 Signs of the Zodiac” by Vasilis Kanatas. Now, everyone can implement 13 Zodiac Astrology, building Birth Horoscopes, by following the instructions of the New Theory (see more in 13 Zodiac Software page). 13 Zodiac Astrology Web-Seminars will start in a few months for the people that demand a deeper knowledge on the subjuct.
Our true Zodiac Signs have changed because of the precession of the equinoxes, that is, the movement of the point of intersection of the celestial equator by the ecliptic by 50.2” (seconds of a degree) each year.
Thus the orbit of the Sun in the sky, as seen from the Earth, has changed. Now the Sun passes through 13 Zodiac Signs: Pisces – Aries – Taurus – Gemini – Cancer – Leo – Virgo – Libra – Scorpio – Ophiuchus – Sagittarius – Capricorn – Aquarius.
The old 12 Signs system does not work anymore. It has become a Monolithic religion. Tropical Astrologers follow the steps of Ptolemy and other Ancient Astrologers. But the worst for them is that they still see the sky as it was 2000 years ago. They tell you what your sign was 2000 years ago! They have their own Almancs to turn the sky back in 100 A.C.!!
With the new theory, in a few cases, about 10% of the total population has retained their old Tropical Sign. But the massive majority of 90% has changed. This is a scientific fact. Click HERE to find your true Zodiac Sign.

Chart1, Western Astrology's faulty places (see table 1)
The planets positions depicted by Western Astrology are wrong. This is a scientific fact. Western Astrologers try hard to make the sky look as it was 2000 years ago. This is why they publish their Astrological Almanacs. These are truly the books of nowhere land as they show the heavens of 2000 years ago!
We say so because in Astronomical reality the Sky is different. Every single Astronomer and scientist in this world knows it!
For today, February 1, 2014 the prestigious astrological site astrologyland.com refers to the following positions for the planets according to Western Astrology, at Washington, DC, 09:58:42 AM EDT +04:00
Sun: Aqr 12.38 (Aquarius)
Moon: Psc 06.23 (Pisces)
Mercury: Psc 00.55 (Pisces)
Venus: Cap 13.34 (Capricorn)
Mars: Lib 23.19 (Libra)
Jupiter: Cnc 12.10 (Cancer)
Saturn: Sco 22.36 (Scorpio)
Uranus: Ari 09.28 (Aries)
Neptune: Psc 04.13 (Pisces)
All forecasts and analysis of Western Astrology are based on these positions for the current day. The measurements of traditional astrology start from the point "γ" (Vernal Equinox) of the era of 100 B.C. to the left, assuming that each constellation occupies 30 degrees in the sky. So they count from 0 to 30 in Aries at 0 to 30 in Taurus, etc.
Let's go to the site of NASA for the positions of the planets in the sky to see if the above mentioned positions are real for today at Washington, DC, 09:58:42 AM EDT +04:00: (http://ssd.jpl.nasa.gov/?ephemerides)
Sun: Cap 12.38 (Capricorn)
